Open Data

A temporary state

Open data is a fragile concept. It may appear today and vanish tomorrow. Take it with a grain of salt. Companies which offer such data sets may decide otherwise six month from now. Or, worse, they or their service  may disappear from the scenery (see the Bristol case). Like any Web resource, the links I provide here are not under my control and as such, I cannot guarantee their perenial existence.

Most of the time, companies decide it is good politics to have open data, so they keep offering information for free to the general population. Some consider it as part of the smart city approach, other try to create an ecosystem without paying much for it, if a few megabytes on a webserver can be considered payment at all. This is good for the rest of us and it is the kind of information this page will contain.
